Doing Yoga together will is a great option to keep your body and mind fit

Couples that workout together

Yoga is the most preferred technique of keeping fit. It is not really a set of exercises; it is a lifestyle which if embraced by both the partners will surely create a healthy existence for both. Yoga is one technique that requires a partner since some of the poses are quite tricky which cannot be done all alone initially. There are some techniques in Yoga that have an inherent requirement of a partner. The tree pose is one of those techniques that has an inherent requirement of a partner. It is simple and easy you just need to stand beside your partner with your hips touching. The leg that is on the outside has to be bent from the knee to pull the foot up so that it presses against the opposite leg’s inner thigh. Once you press you knee back it will help your foot to stay put and opens the hips even more. Now you need to take your inside arm and wrap it around your partner’s lower back. Once you are comfortable bring your outside hands together at the center pressing your palms together. Hold for as long as you can.

Double Dance pose for couples that workout together

The double dance technique is another Yoga posture that can be implemented with your partner only. You need to stand facing each other. Open your hands and join the palms then with the other hand you need to pull back your leg without bending at the knee. This pose will require a lot of practice from your end. You need to make sure that you warm up before actually making this pose with your partner.

The Double Boat technique will help your legs and circulatory system

The Double boat pose is one easy pose for couples that workout together since it can also be used as a warm up technique for the more tough poses. You just need to straighten your legs and with the soles touching for a hamstring stretch. And then hold hands till the time you can. You will find a bit difficult initially however once your back muscles are toned up it is going to be a cake walk for you.

Pressing the body weight of your partner

Body Weight Training

This is one pose that is going to help you strengthen you core muscles. However you need to be sure that you can lift up your partner easily. Make sure you do not injure your backbone while doing it. One just needs to make his or her partner sit on his shoulders and do sit ups.

Backbands with your lady in your arms

Your woman needs to be quite flexible for this exercise. She needs to keep her body straight and stiff so that you can pick her up and bend backwards. This move requires a lot of flexibility and stability.

Throwback Thursday: DODGERS

Happy Thanksgiving!  I have so much to be thankful for.  I had some good times this year that didn’t make my blog that I would like to share with you all before 2017 sneaks up on us.  My first 2016 throwback will be about my two incredible Dodger games this year.

Nic and I have been Dodger fans forever.  We have gone to several games each season starting way back in our dating days.  Those games slowed down once the twins came.  We went to one game last season. I figured it would be the same this season so we made sure to make it a good one.  And that it was.  We chose a game when the Red Sox came to town.  It was Vin Scully’s last season as well as Big Papi’s.

Now here is where it gets cool.  Did you know that there are perks to using your MasterCard?  Y’all remember those Priceless TV commercials years back?  Well, MasterCard is still hot and heavy on creating those Priceless moments.

If you use your MasterCard inside the park you have an opportunity to be upgraded to the MasterCard Best Seats In The House.  Guess who got to sit there?

These are the seats us common folk look at from the upper levels and drool over.  These are the seats that offer in seat service and all you can eat food for FREE.  These are the seats that have tables so you don’t have to eat off your lap or dirty your purse on the ground.

And these are the seats that get you up close and personal to the players and celebs.  Nic got Orel Hershiser’s autograph before he went on air broadcasting the game.

It was a hot summer day game and we sweated like pigs BUT had a great time.  We even made the jumbo tron when the Dodgers advertised MasterCard.  Woot Woot.

Pretty awesome experience, right?  Well it didn’t end there.  Flash forward a few months to post season.  The Dodgers were oh so very close to the World Series and playing the Chicago Cubs.

The day of game 3 Nic and I were at Kyllian’s physical therapy session when I received a call from a LA phone number.  I thought it was UCLA calling so I answered.  It was a representative from Master Card offering us tickets to game 4.  FREE post season play offs to watch the Dodgers vs. the Cubs.  She told me Master Card wanted to thank us for being loyal customers and offer us another once in a lifetime Priceless experience.  And this time we would get to stand on the field during batting practice.  I almost passed out.

So 24 hours later.  There we were.  On the field.  Thankful for using our MasterCard so much on Pampers and Enfamil.

We were given strict rules of not asking for autographs.  No standing on the grass.  And we only had 15 minutes to ohh and awe before we had to take our seats in the nosebleeds. MasterCard said MLB gave them leftover seat tickets and we were at the top of the top of the park.  We didn’t care.  We got to stand on the field.

We stood there for way over 15 minutes.  I did get autographs.  And MasterCard ended up upgrading us to better seats than the nosebleeds.  WINNING.

I got an autograph from Dodger’s manager Dave Roberts – who is very nice and has a great smile!  He made great eye contact and really seemed like he would stay to chat if he didn’t have an important game to get to.  And I got an autograph from Andre Either – who has been my crush for many many many years.  He was nice too and just as handsome as ever.  I like to think it was all my charm instead of the fact that they get paid millions to be nice to the VIP’s on the field.  ha

Once our time on the field was done we were given a mini tour of Dodger memorabilia.  Cy Young awards.  Golden Glove trophies.  Original contracts for players (Sandy Kofax pictured below).  And the World Series trophies.

Although the Dodgers did not win it’s pretty cool to say we got to watch them play the World Series champion.  The 2016 season was a good one for the Dodgers and for me.  Thank you MasterCard for a Priceless year.

Enjoying Friendship at Church

When I think about all that single moms have to do, I almost have a panic attack. I wish other Christians could understand how much they need some extra attention on Sunday morning. And also how much they don’t necessarily want anything more than a nursery or Sunday school class for their kids so that they can enjoy the service.

I don’t think Christian single moms wants a bunch of pity attention on Sunday. They don’t need people pointing out how they are Christian, and a mom, but they don’t have a husband. It’s a little off putting to have to explain this on every morning to new comers.

When you look at people in your church, do you see them as potential friends? People that you might have something in common with and want to connect with them?

This is how I imagine these women want you to look at them. They might like the same hobbies as you or they might just want your teenager to babysit their kids one night a week. They probably have some things to give, and also some things to offer (like some spending cash for your lazy son or daughter who just wants an easy 20 bucks from your own wallet).

They are a family unit unto themselves so they have dishes to do and home maintenance to either perform or hire contractors to accomplish.

Not every woman is the same, but I don’t know very many that don’t like companionship. People who will call impromptu to see how they are doing. And even if they can’t talk at the moment, they will deep done love that you thought of them. As a friend, not just to check up on their spiritual progress. Just as someone who likes them as they are and just wants to hear their voice.

So think about how friendly you are. You can end up connecting with a lot of people you thought you might have nothing in common with. So get out there in church and start up a few chats or volunteer. You might just meet a lifelong friend from any walk of life.
