Before the days of Facebook and group texting my friends and I used e-mails for our social media. We would have daily group e-mails to discuss what was going on in our lives, what the plans were for the weekend, etc. One thing we LOVED to do was take, read and send each other surveys. I have to shake my head now looking back because it was always the same questions. What’s your biggest fear? What’s your dream job? Celebrity crush? etc etc. I don’t know why we just didn’t take the surveys for each other because we all knew each others answers. Oh the days before marriage, kids, and adult jobs. Now we don’t even need surveys. We can log in to Facebook and learn more about people than we ever wanted. ha.
Lately in the blog world I have seen a few surveys being passed around. It’s brought me back 10 years ago to the fun my friends and I had. Today Tina at Carrots n Cake posted a fitness survey. Fitting for my blog and I’m a sucker for nostalgia, so here I go …
1. What did you eat for breakfast?
2 egg muffins with pico cooked in my muffin pan on Sunday during my weekly meal prep.
2. How much water do you drink a day?
I can’t tell you ounces or how many glasses/bottles, but it’s a lot. Water is my security blanket. I always have a bottle with me.
3. What is your current favorite workout?
I am loving boot camp. If that’s even what I should be calling it.
4. How many calories do you eat a day?
No clue. I don’t count. I tried once and it stressed me out. I think I have a good idea of how many calories are in the food I eat, but I don’t worry about it until the late night snacking starts.
5. What are your favorite healthy snacks?
Speaking of late night snacking … humus and carrots, fiber cereal with almond milk, and Nature Box items.
6. What do you usually eat for lunch?
Today my Mom and I met at a juice bar and I had 32 oz of Green Goodness. Very fulling. But on normal days at work I have a protein with veggies. This week it’s been chicken or Trader Joe’s pot stickers.
7. What is your favorite body part to strength train?
Lower body because I have a butt-thigh and tree trunks.
8. What is your least favorite body part to strength train?
I don’t like doing anything with my chest because that’s my weak spot. Maybe one day I will be able to bust out some GI Jane push ups.
9. What are your “bad” food cravings?
SUGAR. The real kind.
10. Do you take vitamins or supplements?
Yep. A daily multivitamin, fish oil, BCAA’s, and digestive enzymes when having a heavy meal.
11. How often do you eat out?
Rarely. I bring food to work, but sometimes (yesterday) I have lunch meetings outside of the office. The hubs and I prob only go out to restaurants a couple of times a month when he has a weekend off.
12. Do you eat fast food?
I may once in a blue moon. Pizza, Panda Express, Subway, etc. I just try to stay away from that one place with the golden arch and pink chicken nuggets.
13. Who is your biggest supporter?
Nic – the hubs. That’s his name. I normally call him Hubs here. Every time I mention doing an event or trying anything new he always tells me “go for it” or “whatever you want”. Not in a way that he doesn’t care, but in a way that he wants me to be happy. He’s kinda awesome.
14. Do you have a gym membership?
Two. One I haven’t used since last year though. I’m just donating money.
15. How many hours of sleep do you get a night?
Usually 8-9 hours unless I’ve gone to a Dodger game and have to work the next day. It’s more like 5-6 on those nights.
16. Do you have a “cheat”day?
I don’t have one planned. I enjoy sweats or a cheat meal when the opportunity or craving comes along.
17. Do you drink alcohol?
Yes. That’s why I don’t have a six-pack. It’s more like what these guys have going on …
18. Do you have a workout buddy?
Yep. This girl
19. What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a healthy lifestyle?
Getting others on board with me. I am thrilled that Nic likes juices and smoothies now. Before he would cringe at the thought and just last week the boy liked his first wheat grass shot.
20. What was the last healthy thing you did?
Hard Core day at the gym. 7 stations – all abs. 45 seconds each x 3 cycles + a little run outside in the 100 degree weather.
